How to Rename a Document
Renaming documents in Hapax is quick and helps keep your files organized and easy to locate. Whether you’re updating a title to reflect recent edits or adjusting it for clarity, this guide will walk you through the steps to rename a document. Following these steps will ensure your document titles stay accurate, clear, and helpful for everyone who accesses them.
Step 1) Log In and Access the Information Vault
Start by logging into your account on the platform with your credentials. This will take you to the main dashboard. Once logged in, navigate to the Information Vault located on the left side of your dashboard. This section houses all your uploaded files and folders.
Step 2) Locate the Document
Browse or use the search bar to find the specific document for which you want to set permissions. Once found, click to open the document.
Step 3) Select Edit Name From Ellipsis
In the top right corner of the screen, click on the ellipsis (three dots) icon. From the dropdown menu, select Edit Document Name. This will open a popup where you can change the document name.
Step 4) Adjust Document Name and Select Update Title
In the Edit Document Title popup, you can view and edit the document’s existing name. Once you’ve entered the new document name, select Update Title to finalize your decision.
Done!
Your document has now been successfully renamed and will appear with the updated title throughout the platform. This new name will be visible to all users with access, ensuring consistent identification across your team.
